Our Evidence-Based Treatment Approaches are Recognized as THE GOLD STANDARD.

We use research-supported treatments proven effective for OCD, PTSD, and Anxiety including:

  • ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) is a type of therapy that helps people with OCD face their fears without doing the rituals that usually ease their anxiety.

    • Exposure: You gradually confront the things that make you anxious (like touching something “dirty” or thinking a scary thought).

    • Response Prevention: You don’t do the usual compulsion (like washing your hands or checking) after facing that fear.

  • ACT: A Simple Explanation

ACT helps you stop fighting your thoughts and start living your life based on what matters to you.

    • Acceptance: Instead of trying to get rid of obsessive thoughts, you notice them without struggling.

    • Commitment: You focus on actions that match your values, even if OCD thoughts are still there. text goes here

  • Value-Based Goal Setting in OCD Treatment

This approach helps you focus on what really matters to you—your values—rather than what OCD tells you to do. By setting goals based on your values, you take meaningful action even when obsessive thoughts or urges are present, gradually reclaiming control over your life.

  • What is Prolonged Exposure (PE)?

Prolonged Exposure (PE) is a highly effective, evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help individuals recover from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). When someone experiences trauma, they often develop a pattern of avoiding thoughts, feelings, and situations that remind them of the event. While avoidance provides temporary relief, it actually keeps the fear alive.

Our IOP utilizes PE to help clients "digest" traumatic memories in a safe, controlled environment. By gradually facing these memories and related triggers, the brain learns that the trauma is in the past and that the current environment is safe.

  • What is Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)?

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a specific type of cognitive-behavioral therapy that has been proven effective for treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). When a person experiences a traumatic event, it often changes how they view themselves, others, and the world—frequently leading to "stuck points" or beliefs like "It was my fault," "The world is entirely dangerous," or "I can't trust anyone."

Our IOP clinicians use CPT to help you identify and challenge these unhelpful beliefs. Instead of just "getting over" the trauma, CPT teaches you a new way to handle the upsetting thoughts that keep you stuck in the past.
